We live in the Portland area and treated our friend to some wine country and a night at the Grand Lodge. We were looking for a good breakfast spot this morning, so of course I checked yelp. This place was the highest rated and the reviews looked good for the most part, so off we went. The first thing I was unsure of was the location. It is smack dab in the middle of a neighborhood, and let's just say that never everyone's yards were so nice to look at, and listening the the couple a couple houses down was not what we wanted to hear while eating and enjoying the sunshine. Let's get to the important part: the FOOD. My husband ordered the Chicken Fried Steak as per the recommendation in one of the reviews, I got the breakfast plate with your choice of meat, eggs, potatoes, served with a side of biscuits and gravy, and our friend got some cajun scramble of sorts. The CFS was frozen. Yuck. The gravy was NOT creamy nor delicious because it was from a powdered mix. My over easy eggs were over cooked. I ordered shredded hash browns and got the other version but was too hungry to even say anything. After our food was dropped off we were on our own. She didn't check back once. She brought the check 20 minutes later, and didn't even ask how our meal was. As a server, when I see that someone still has a plate full of food at the end of their meal, I ask if everything was ok, or if they need a box for the leftovers. And to top it all off, the coffee was WEAK. All in all we were not impressed, but I guess living in Portland may have turned us into "breakfast/brunch" snobs, ultimately all I want is fresh tasty food made from scratch by someone who actually likes to take the time to cook the food. Not by cutting corners for convenience sake. Will definitely not be returning to this place when we are in the Grove.

This place has a really "homey" feel to it. It's a family run joint and it made my college visit experience better. The regulars are friendly and even talked to us out of the blue. As for the food, the biscuits and gravy were good. I wish that I had tried the fresh berry crepes though. Maybe next time when I go back to Oregon in the fall!

Sweet Potato skillet rocks! This restaurant looks very funky, especially since its in a neighborhood, but the staff and food are amazing!

We love this place very friendly service and good afordable food... the eggs benedict was great...they take cash only...

Delicious, fun, and funky. Located in a neighborhood so it doesn't feel like you're going the right way, but persevere and you will find it! They were excited about what they offer, which was excellent food. For lunch I had pasta with shrimp in a wine sauce. My daughter had a breakfast omelette. Clientele is locals. Clean, comfortable, good value.

Some restaurants claim "home cooking" but that typically means meat and potatoes smothered in gravy and everything breaded and fried. When I describe the 22nd Street Station as "home cooking" I do not mean that kind of cooking. I mean the kind of cooking that you get at home by someone who cares about the food, but more importantly, cares about their members of their family enough to give them the best. We, the customers, are Cindy's family members. The ambiance of the place is wonderful, part of the old train station in Forest Grove, Oregon, it is stuffed with nostalgia and memorabilia focused on transportation with pictures of trains, planes, and automobiles and family photos on every millimeter of wall space. The ceiling hosts a moving toy Christmas train circling above the customers, animated animals moving around waving at the customers below. Several giant wooden kit airplanes "fly" over our heads, suspended from the ceiling, and tall customers need to be warned. The tables spill out onto the open porch during the warm months, packed with happy customers. The food is wonderful. The prices are very reasonable, serving many from the nearby senior center and the aging community in Forest Grove well. The breakfast food is diverse, representing a dozen or more different omelets and breakfast favorites. Lunch is a wide mix from the popular Chicken Fried Steaks to the absolutely amazing Veggie Burger. I'm a vegetarian and I typically hate veggie burgers. This one is juicy, light, fresh, and the most amazing flavors, shifting slightly dependent upon the fresh seasonal vegetables available. I actually grave it! The food is simple, not fusion, not over styled, not minimalistic, not esoteric. The owner, Cindy, and her cook care about what they serve. Mistakes happen, even in the best of cooking homes, but they are quick to fix things, determined to make you happy. Cindy also takes personal food requests and is sensitive to allergies and food issues. Her cook is up to any task given him, turning out amazing meals. Regular customers' habits are remembered and faithfully attended to. I had an issue with a visiting friend whose son has a very sensitive system. I talked to her and she took the time to go through her whole kitchen with me to determine what types of food were cooked in the oils and various spots on the stove top consistently to protect those with allergies. Amazing. The personal attention the owner, Cindy, gives to everyone who walks in is worth the journey to experience. She welcomes everyone like they are a best friend with endearments. She moves through the small cafe at the speed of light, filling up coffee, tea, soda, and water glasses as she chats with everyone, takes orders, and makes everyone feel welcome and "home." There are days when I don't care if the food is good or not (and it always is). I just want the feeling of being in a place where someone cares about me and I feel like I'm with family. Yes, the cafe takes cash only, and if she gets to know you as a regular, checks. If I could give it one point off for not being open for dinner, I would, as I would be a dinner regular, but I'm giving the 22nd Street Station a 20 for good real food, great character, price, and personal service, and the sense of family and home that I rarely feel in restaurants.

Been to this awesome little place many times since moving to Forest Grove and it never disappoints, the portions are big and the prices are totally reasonable! Also the service has never been bad, always very pleasant. I highly recommend!

Had the spicy sausage while the kids had the northwest special and stack of pancakes. Sausage was quite spicy and flavorful. Scrambled eggs were fluffy and not over cooked. Kids said pancakes were excellent. This is a very family oriented restaurant off the beaten path. Locals know about it and come here often, judging from the greeting they receive at the door. Despite the familiarity with most of the regulars the service for everyone else is excellent. Coffee never gets cold. The sole wait person is very efficient and is never idle. Airplanes hang from the ceiling while a suspended garden scale train runs overhead. Very fun environment. Word of warning, they do not take plastic nor do they have an ATM on site. Plan ahead as prices run about $10/person.

Just moved to Forest Grove 7 months ago and trying out the local eateries. We have now been here twice on a Sunday. Get there early or past 1pm so you don't have to wait or get stuck in the back room with 2 tables, but even then it is worth the wait. Coffee is good for multiple cups, the food is excellent. We love the bacon!!!!! I had the fresh berry crepes, eggs and a side of the awesome bacon. Don't forget they ONLY ACCEPT CHECK or CASH!!!! WE forgot last time and my husband and to run to the ATM...oops! We love it because we don't have to waste gas or time travelling to Hillsboro for good food. This is our new Sunday Morning treat!

We LOVE this place! Whenever guests are in town, I try to steer them toward the 22nd Street Station, mainly so that I can eat there myself. Every guest has loved it as much as we do. The service is always friendly and as fast as they can make it, even when the place is packed. As far as food, I can recommend the bacon omelette, crab omelette, any of the Benedicts, the crepes, the spinach/feta omelette, and of course, the delicious side dish potatoes. The coffee isn't bad and they keep it a' comin'. The ONLY complain I have ever heard about this place is that they only take cash. That being said, the times that we have forgotten, the ladies have graciously allowed us to swing by later after hitting a cash machine.

We were staying at the Grand Lodge and were tired of McMenamin's food, so looked up local restaurants on Yelp, and found the 22nd St. Station. We went there for breakfast and were not disappointed! Good food and quaint atmosphere with a model train running around the ceiling. It's tucked away in a neighborhood by Pacific University, and we had a little trouble finding it. Well worth finding for good breakfast!

I had heard great things about this place but was disappointed. I gave it two times and each time I left disappointed. Food was either over cooked or under cooked.

The food is good, the owner is a bit of a energetic delight but I do wish they would get the back area (kitchen, storage area visible from main eating area) cleaned up a bit. It looks like it's 100 years old and had little upkeep, if it was not for that this would be a 4 star rating.

I've been looking for a cute, quaint, diner-type place in the Hillsboro/Forest Grove area and I think we've found it. Although it took quite awhile to get our food, everything tasted great and the atmosphere was really folksy. They refilled our coffee (which was good, not nasty watery Denny's type stuff) lots of times. My husband had chicken fried steak which was awesome. My special sweet potato scramble was also really good. No frills, just what I was looking for.

Train lovers - this is the place for you. Most everything in this eatery has a train theme. There is even an train track hanging over your head with a train that goes all around the restaurant. It is extremely kid friendly. I have only been for breakfast on the weekends, and I am definitely a fan. This place is tucked away in Forest Grove and you would not find it if you weren't looking for it. It is a small mom and pop establishment. The place is mostly locals and everyone seems to know each other. I have seen a number of people get hugs when they come in the front door. Even though you get waited on, there is only the one lady who serves for the whole place. So, people who know her well just take their own orders and hand them over. In addition, when she is really busy, people will get up and refill their own coffee. Then, they even go around and refill the coffee of the other people with empty cups. Wow! The first time I saw it happened, I was stunned. On the downside, the place is not the cleanest, but I can overlook that detail based on the friendly and fun atmosphere along with the good food.

Just moved to Forest Grove and just found this place. Love it!!! The atmosphere is great!!! The staff is great!!! The food is really good and coffee is good. Again, the atmosphere is exactly what I was looking for. 1950's vintage with a flair for trains and plains. This is my new breakfast place.

Best place hands down in Forest Grove to get breakfast! Service is great, as is the food! If you want to go where the locals go then this is your place.

Really cute little old school cafe. It's in a residential area so you may think you're going into the wrong area but keep going. This place is a treasure. Great service and the best spinach and feta omelet ever! Their hollandaise sauce is perfect. Affordable prices. You'll feel like you've stepped back in time.

I think my reviews are getting too wordy. I'm sick of myself. So I will sum this 2nd trip for breakfast today up briefly/quickly: Coffee good Little back room very very cold, don't sit there or bundle up Eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, fruity waffles with whipped cream, good Chocolate milk in mason jar with handle, good Family run business good Doesn't take credit cards, pack cash, our breakfast cost about $30 for three Friendly small town feel Family happy, and plans to return. :) Whew, that wasn't so hard.

  • Cynthia M.

My family loves this place. We've been regulars for several years. They have the best waffles with strawberries and whipped cream (my daughters favorite), oatmeal, and specials. The atmosphere is fun, and homey. The service is good as the wait staff is often family of the owner, Cindy. For a small town cafe it deserves four stars. The only drawback is the coffee. It' s a little weak. I'd love to see a darker premium blend. Be sure to bring cash or check as they don't take debit or credit.

Food is always great! However due to kitchen limitations you can expect sporatic, yet always friendly and accomodating service. ie: you may have to begin eating your meal before your tablemates are served their meal, otherwise you food is cold. Its casual and time has a way of standing still...a little bit like in the south. If you are not in a hurry, I highly recomend coming here.

Great food and friendly service! We actually tried to come on a Monday a month ago, and they were not open. Glad they were open today! The food tasted fresh and homemade. We had the florentine Benedict and corned beef hash. Cynthia was amazing. She brought a bucket of toys for the kids. They loved the train that went around the restaurant. I loved the charm of the restaurant and we will be back!

They've had a high turnover on their cooks lately, so hopefully they figure out something that'll work out for them soon. The last time that I came in was on a Saturday, and my friend and I ended up being the only people in the restaurant. There were only two waitresses, and a person in the back, helping to clean up. The waitresses cooked our meals, since they recently lost another cook. They did really well, considering! The new waitress forgot to give me my hot tea that I ordered until the food came, but she was in the process of learning how to cook our meals from the owner (the second waitress) and was distracted. It was difficult to be too bothered. I love the owner, and she is the reason why I keep going back. She has a spunky attitude, and I get some enjoyment out of the way that she reads the specials. I love my experience with her every time I visit this restaurant. I notice the micromanagement though, so I hope that this doesn't result in even more slow service and/or more turnover. I don't know why they've had a high turnover with their cooks. I can only speculate. It can only slow things down, if she doesn't let anyone else handle the cash register, or if she stands behind the person taking the order, and throws herself out there too much to take the order with them. Hopefully it was only to train the new waitress. Anyway, I love this place! I go to Forest Grove every 2-3 months, and I always try this place first if I want something to eat when I'm there. Sometimes it's closed though due to lack of many staff members, so it's a good idea to have a backup restaurant to go to. I've approached things this way, and haven't been disappointed with the place so far.

Foods great if they are ever open. Tried to eat here back in May and they were closed due to a family trip. Just tried to eat here again today and closed due to not feeling well. Not worth the drive out to this place to find out they are closed once again. Elmers is just as good and they are always open.

Bad experience. Came in Saturday afternoon for breakfast. Ordered at 12:00 pm. Waited for our food until 1:20 when we finally asked the manager if our food was on the way. It hadn't even been started. Can't say I liked waiting that long for nothing, but I had to leave. Extremely unprofessional.

"Bye, Hon! Don't stay away long." That was the farewell given a departing customer by the delightful owner of 22nd Street Station just before she arrived at our table to give us menus and take our coffee order. The four of us knew at that instant that we were going to like this place. AMBIANCE: Well, actually, we knew the moment we drove up and spied the friendly, funky exterior. That vibe is carried through the interior. Large model planes hanging from the ceiling. A model train running on track overhead. (This used to be a railroad station I think.) Mismatched wooden tables and chairs. Sparkling clean. (The loo too.) yelp.com/biz_photos/22nd… SERVICE: The sign on the wall right about our table "BECAUSE NICE MATTERS" echoed the owner's treatment of every customer in the place. Us included. Gracious, welcoming, our coffee ups were kept full and our meals arrived at the table hot from the kitchen. Very nice. On the day of our visit it seemed mostly regular customer locals were coming and going. If we lived locally, we'd be regulars too. FOOD / MENU / VALUE: Serving breakfast and lunch, with breakfast all day, we arrived around 11:30 on a weekday and opted for breakfast before doing some wine tasting in the area. There are weekend specials, like eggs benedict, and weekday specials too, not to mention a lot of everyday breakfast items that include bacon and eggs, biscuits and gravy and pancakes. Two of us chose blueberry pancakes (hold the butter). Fluffy, light, chock full of plump blueberries, they arrived hot and were served with a container of warm maple syrup. Two of us choose poached hard eggs (difficult for a kitchen to get right at diner request but this one did) with crispy bacon. On request homemade biscuits (hold the sausage gravy) were substituted for toast. (The owner chuckled as we placed our order "You all are entirely too healthy eaters. If that's possible.") I neglected to keep the receipt. But I think our total bill was only something like thirty bucks for breakfast for four with these simple options. Good food, gracious service, fun ambiance and a bargain price. THIS N THAT: 1) COFFEE: Coffee tasted as if something like Boyds. I'm a good coffee fiend, I know my weaknesses, so I would have preferred something like Stumptown or equivalent. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Interior is all on one level and has accessible table seating throughout. However, could be a challenge for folks who need no steps in (like my friends who use wheelchairs) to find that the porch area connects to nearly level in access from the side (gravel surfaced) parking lot since there is signage for accessible entry. Just a "heads up" if you drive by and see only a steo up in front and think you can't get in. As we did at first. yelp.com/biz_photos/22nd… 3) OUTDOOR SEATING: Table and chairs on front porch for nice weather use. 4) KITCHEN: A sign on the front door said something like this...the restaurant was hiring a line cook...please make an appointment for interview... knife skill demonstration will be required as part of the interview. I took that as a very good sign about a professional kitchen being run here. 5) "GREEN BIZ" as in cash only. No credit cards taken.

The food was so good! They are short on staff. However they were apologetic and worked very hard and very quickly to get our orders out in a quick manner. My husband and I had the best time chatting and sipping a cup of coffee that was always full! Next time we are in town we will definitely be back.

I've driven and walked by this restaurant for over 7 years. Finally went with a friend a couple weeks ago and was totally surprised. The interior is not fancy but the food is delicious and the prices very reasonable. The owner is a sweetheart. She was the server and like a little bee, was dashing here and there. Very attentive. I was going to order the Chicken and Dumpling special but changed my mind and got the Reuben sandwich with fries. The Reuben was the best I've had in years. Gooey with cheese and sauce and tender corned beef. As far as I'm concerned if it isn't gooey and messy it isn't a good Reuben. I loved the fries too. They were light and crisp. I didn't know it was cash only and was a bit embarrassed that my friend had to pay for my meal so come prepared. I'm looking forward to my next Reuben!

FINALLY! I have found my holy grail of breakfast spots west of Portland. I know I could drive into the city and get a more yuppified, cool, and trendy breakfast, but if you want a home style, fresh, delicious and affordable breakfast, this place gets it. And the atmosphere is exactly what I have been looking for! A place where the owner is the waitress, she might sit next to you and take your order, or call out loud to get everyones attention, "Listen up, I want to tell you today's specials and theres so many people here...". I have never ordered off the regular menu, opting for the daily specials...like a taco omelet, or the eggs benedict ("we make our own hollandaise"), or the waffle with fresh seasonal berries. The owner/waitress's grandson might be pouring coffee, or a long time friend might be bussing tables to lend a hand. I love this place...great food, fun atmosphere and everyone instantly feels right at home. My kind of place!

Wife N. said it's our 11 year old son's new favorite place to eat. We've GOT to go! Out with Wife N. and son. Saturday morning, 10:45. Decor is transportation themed with model planes and trains on the ceiling. Seating for about 40. I ordered a Spinach, Feta, and Artichoke omelette with "cottage" potatoes on the side. Omelette was very nice, flavorful, not overcooked. Chock full of stuffing in the middle. Potatoes had some caramelized onions in there as well. Well-browned but not overdone. Wife N. ordered a Shrimp and Avocado omelette which had a lovely dill cream cheese sauce. This was excellent, shrimp perfectly cooked and tender, sauce was potently yummy--well executed. In and out in roughly average time, maybe 45 minutes. Omelettes range from $8.00 to $9.50 with some of the specials maybe being a tad higher. This may be a small town diner, at the edge of a dead end street. But as breakfasts go, this was NOT dead end food. Great little hole in the wall, and we'll definitely be back. As others have noted, cash only so come prepared.

We got there at 11:30, place was half full, they have about 10 to 12 tables. All empty tables were dirty, we chose one by the window. We waited about 15 mins before anyone stopped and gave us some water and menus and then she sets them on a dirty table, gross! I got up and asked for a towel to wipe the table. She said she would do it. About five mins later she wipes the table and then takes off again. After another 10 mins. she takes our order. We didn't see any food for 50 mins, we were there almost 2 hours to get food!! Good thing we were not in a hurry! The service, 1 star, the food was VERY YUMMY, could not ask for better! Hot and delicious!! A big fat 5 STARS for the food!! Someone knows how to cook!!! If they could ever find how to give good service, that place would be my #1 breakfast place and a 5 star joint!

I'm really upset to be writing a review like this. I have been coming to this café for 3 years since I've been attending Pacific University and have absolutely loved it. I've always had wonderful experiences with friendly staff and delicious food! However this morning my experience was extremely different. I went to breakfast with a few friends and after waiting for an hour talking, laughing, and making good conversation, the owner/cook came out of the kitchen, making a scene by yelling at us for being "antsy" and "impatient". Completely taken aback we attempted to explain that we were by no means angry or impatient but she proceeded to YELL over the top of us making all of the other customers go completely silent and staring at us. We proceeded to wait for another 30 minutes for our food after being publicly humiliated and feeling extremely uncomfortable. We ate in quiet, paid and left. One of our friends stayed behind to very politely speak to our waitress, whom we had NO issues with, to express our concern about how the situation was handled so poorly. The owner/cook overheard what he was saying and again started yelling at him through the back of the restaurant. She then chased him out of the restaurant, cussing him out, and saying that his family should be ashamed of him. I have never had such an uncomfortable/ humiliating experience in my life.

Had eaten at and liked this place a few times in the past, but the last two visits were just horrible. Three of us waited TWO HOURS from the time we sat down and ordered until the time we got our breakfast last weekend. AFTER the rush was dying down. Food was so-so. We got our own menus, even got our own coffee too. No one apologized or explained the long wait for our food. The waitress wouldn't even make eye contact with us. And no offer of a discount. Two weeks earlier we waited 90 minutes for two breakfasts. Never again. Can't waste my entire day sitting their hungry.

  • Allen K.

Love going to this place for getting brunch. The people who work here are always so friendly and you truly feel welcomed to come in and have a meal. I always get the chicken fried steak -- the country gravy is delicious. Also, the coffee is a standard with my brunch and they make sure my cup never stays empty. The diner is a bit hidden and there's only a street sign to point you in the right direction. But it's located at the end of a dead end street across from some houses so its fairly quiet. There are a couple tables outside as well -- a perfect place to dine on a beautiful summer's day.

Food/price - 3 stars Overall, the food was okay, nothing too special but not a disappointment either. Pricing was more than fair as well. Service - 5 stars The best place about this was the waitress, who was extremely attentive, nice and helpful with our choices. Overall it is a decent place, more a 3.5 star place than 3. I definitely will be back next time I am in town to get a second impression. Also, it may speak better of this place that it was PACKED when we were there and it all seemed to be locals who just loved it.

Fantastic restaurant with a homey feel. My friends and I came here two days in a row just because we fell in love with the place and its delicious dishes. The place is nothing fancy but the food will speak for itself. Try the French toast and sweet potato skillets!

One of the best breakfasts that I've had in a restaurant. I didn't have to add any seasoning. Very flavorful! The lady that seated us was really friendly and nice our waitress was ok. Cute place, nice seating outside on a sunny morning.

This was one of the best dining experiences ever. Breakfast specials like omelets shrimp, avocado, tomatoes and cream cheese. Or fresh berry crepes and sweet potato hash with chicken sausage and eggs. The decor is a "nothing matches" motif which we loved. The food was perfectly cooked and the coffee was endless. This is a treasure of a place, that no one should skip should they find their way out in Forest Grove. Take cash. they do not accept credit or debit cards.

This is a great small town, throw back type of place. You really get the sense of home cooking here. I had a veggie omelet that was wonderful. The service was great even thought the server was really busy. Just moving to FG, I will for sure make this a regular place.

  • Matt W.

This is a great place that you just don't find around these days. It is like stepping back in time when you walk through the door to a simpler time. It is like going to your long lost aunt's house for breakfast. She can cook what ever you like but you will want to order what ever the special of the day is. The kids will love all of the railroad memorabilia and the train that runs around the ceiling on a suspended track. This is not a fast food restaurant, nor would you want it to be. You come here as much for the conversation and atmosphere as for great food.

  • S H.

We *love* this local family diner. Its tucked away in a neighborhood and hard to find. Tons of regulars visit here, and I am somewhat hesitant to even tell others about it. Nevertheless, its great for kids with tons of toys to play with and super friendly staff (mostly family). Come more than a couple of times and they'll recognize you and chat you up. They always have specials, plus a regular offering of breakfast and lunch. They DO NOT take credit cards, so bring cash. They also close when it gets slow, normally between 3 and 4pm. Meals are around $8-10 for adults. They have some kids stuff for around $5-6. In any event, this is an amazing little diner and we feel very fortunate to live just a few miles away. We probably end up here 3-4 times per month. I get the chicken fried steak breakfast. Yum.

  • Wade K.

Best biscuits and gravy I have ever had, and I am from the south. The owner is super friendly and welcomes you in to her place like you are a part of the family. They have a bunch of toys for the kids to play with to keep them busy while the food is being prepared and also a train that goes around the top of the ceiling. Just a great place and we love the fact that we are supporting local people, and not a chain restaurant. If they start taking credit cards, then I would give them 5 stars.

Yum, yum yum! Flat, crispy shreds of potatoes, the kind you have dreams about, and they never come that way, except here. Crispy, sweet, as only local potatoes can be. And the hollandaise???? You guys know me! This is REAL. Real Hollandaise! The best butter-only rich sauce on perfectly toasted and buttered English muffins, OH MY GOD and no I won't abbreviate omg. This place is tiny, and no room for error, and they don't need any. The owner gave up her post and came back, and we are all lucky to have her. Thank you!

I would have submitted pictures if we got our breakfast in a timely fashion and was able to sit at one of the tables and eat it. As it was, we spent an hour and a half waiting for our food only to have to take it and leave. Few quirks about this restaurant. Let's hope the cook working that day wasn't their regular cook. She was over the top - coming out into the front of the cafe to shush everyone and yell the specials of the day to everyone in the place. She also wasn't letting any of the other staff ring people up or buss the tables. It was a one woman show. Funniest part was when we asked for our meal to go, we asked for disposable utensils to take with us. She couldn't find any so she told us just to take the silverware on the table. She also mentioned more than once that she was quitting after the weekend. Let's hope she holds true to that promise. Barring the bad service, the food was exceptional. As long as you are willing to deal with the BS that comes with it.

Wasted my Friday morning .... Drove out from Tannesborne because of the reviews boy was I wrong, after driving 30 minutes to get here, we had to wait 40 minutes to order our food, and then another hour for our food to arrive. My I asked for extra sausage in my burrito, there were literally only 3 little pieces in the whole thing. It was mostly stuffed with potatoes. The gravy on our biscuits was slimy & impossible to eat, tasted like runny eggs. AVOID THIS PLACE, RUINED MY MORNING

We came to this breakfast spot in Forest Grove quite a while ago. We liked the decor and the service. It was a little difficult to find but once there we were seated quickly and started to browse their menu. There was a good selection and even a few specials. My guy liked his bacon, eggs and potatoes. However, he wasn't impressed by the biscuits and gravy. As with many other places, he said, the gravy didn't taste like it was made fresh but rather as if it was made from a packet. The biscuits were okay as well and he did finish them but would recommend people order something else if they like flavorful gravy. My breakfast was good but (as you may be able to glean from the photo I posted) the avocados they placed on the top of my omelette were not very fresh. My omelette contained some nice bits of sea-dwellers such as crab and shrimp. I like how much filling they put in the omelette. We both really liked our potatoes and thought the eggs were really well cooked. I wish we could give 1/2 stars because I think 22nd Street Station deserves a 3.5 / 5 but perhaps the next time we visit I can bump up the rating with an updated review. We have yet to go back but we likely will again soon!

Oh man I would give 0 stars if I could. Me and my partner waited an hour and a half and got no food. When I asked about it which was pretty hard to do cause I really don't like to trouble people she yelled at me and closed down the place after people like myself had been sittings there an hour and a half with no food! So we left really hungry giving up half are Saturday morning :(

Tucked away on the fringe of a neighborhood, I was not expecting this place to be so good. I had the potato skillet and my wife had chocolate chip pancakes. They exceeded our expectations! My potato skillet was expertly cooked and seasoned. It was the best breakfast I ever had. No joke. My wife's pancakes were really good too. Fluffy and perfect and delicious chocolate chips. The only waitress was very kind and did a great job handling the whole room. Her young helper was a great help too. However despite this it did take a while to get our food. Luckily, it was WELL WORTH IT. A great place for a lazy breakfast!

Waited 2 hours to get soggy waffles. They got our order wrong. I understand that maybe they don't have many cooks but 2 hours is a bit ridiculous. As the people behind us pointed out, the staff is basically being paid to bring out unlimited water, thats about it. Not to be rude but until their food quality improves and the efficiency of the restaurant improves I don't plan on coming back. The only reason for the 2 stars is the staff was pretty friendly.

We stopped here on a whim on the way home from camping. The owner was extremely friendly and our breakfast was better than any I've had in a long time. We really enjoyed our time there and wish we lived closer. Thank you so much for the great hospitality!

Good food, decent service, ok prices, fun place for kids. Cash-only is quite annoying.

I had their veggie burger which was homemade with lots of goodies in it. It was a substantial meal. Mari had a fantastic omelet. We enjoy spending time with the owner who is a hoot! Watch out for the little kids running through the restaurant. It is like eating at home without having to cook or clean up. Quite entertaining!

Nice little place, quaint and friendly. Was empty when my wife and I went. Got the short order items- breakfast burrito and biscuits and gravy. Both were good. Will definitely return next time I'm this way.

Yum. Yum....yum...yum. Yum. (I'm reluctant to write a review, it's already busy on the weekends....I can only imagine when the word gets out that they are open again!) This is as good as you are going to get in the grove/hillsboro area. It's also a unique place. As strange as it may seem, it reminds me of that sandwich shop Rosanne from 'Rosanne' opened up. Just a local place where you can get a great home cooked meal. I've been here before she closed for a few months....and stopped by on wishful thinking/touring that part of town. Much to my and my SO's delight, they were open! My breakfast was the crab and avocado omelette with a short stack. They were both tasty and came out right off the grill. My SO had the Benedict and a meat tube. He loved it. Would totally recommend this place, it is one of the ONLY places to get a sit down breakfast. Tip - IT IS A SMALL RESTAURANT...don't expect to be seated right away if you have a large group.

They have only been reopened for a week. There phones will not be working for another week. Oh my goodness! Could not decide what I wanted to eat so we got three items for two of us - Bavarian French Toast, Sausage Biscuit & Gravy and Eggs Benedict. Each one of the items were delicious. We are so stuffed that we will need to be rolled out. The owner is amazing and we had the pleasure to meet her grandson Taylor who was helping with bussing. Cute kid! We will make sure that we come here for breakfast whenever we are in town. Yummy! Yummy! Yummy!

This place is super cute! We went here one morning to sit outside and enjoy some breakfast. We ordered and I got a chai iced coffee to start which was really yummy. They were really busy and they only had one person working, so she came out and apologized a few times letting us know it will be a little longer and she called for some back up. No problem, we totally understood and waited patiently. Other diners were getting upset and blaming her for the food coming out very slow. I got the french toast and it was OK. just OK. My husband got a hash that was pretty awesome and I wish I would have gotten it as well. Prices were on point and once another server got there to help, they were really moving!
